Post by ImperiusDamianPost by Apathy [AGQx]I check in about once a month...right about the same time as shark
week for the Mrs.
I played Fallout 3 all summer because I never did finish it last year
or play any of the add-ons...just in time for New Vegas.
I also wasted time on Mass Effect 2, Just Cause 2, Dragon Age
Awakening,& BioShock 2. Metro 2033 was pretty good too along with
Singularity for a bit.
Now it's back to school, so no more game time.
...but I do get to teach a couple of Video Game Design classes...How
fuckin' cool is that?
Nice! :D
I'm just being lazy: modding Diablo II is the closest I get to game
design. ;)
Well, as is true with many U.S. teachers (Texas teachers, doubly so),
I'm no expert in what they've assigned me to teach.
But it's going to be fun learning with the students. They already
know I'm just an old gamer from way back and not some programming and
design engineer, but they're actually happier with this situation.
It's not like it's a real hardcore computer science class anyway.
It's an elective that's offered along with a bunch of other technology
courses we've just started to offer in the school district as we move
away from the old Industrial Arts model of Career & Technology classes
and try to drag this backasswards podunk town into the 21st Century.
I'm just lucky to be on board here at the beginning considering the
state of funding and teaching jobs that aren't part of the "core"
curriculum of Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
Sorry, that's probably more than you cared to know, but I get kind of
excited about what I get to do. I'm also teaching Concepts of
Engineering, Commercial Photography and Multimedia, and Graphic
Design. I'm just praying that they'll keep funding the program.
So... I totally missed the whole emigration/immigration story. E-mail
me about it if you feel like it. I'm interested. The last I heard,
you had some sort of chronic fatigue problems and were living
somewhere like Alderney or Sark ;)
