Loading maps

I still do not see a clear method here on HOW to load maps??

The maps I copy to the base folder DO NOT show in the skirmish or
multiplayer selection screens and holding shift 6 (^) does nothing.

How do you bring up the terminal?

try ~ (shift `) to bring up console

try:

map somemap

try

cmdlist
varlist

something like that for getting help/coommand list inside console...

Or consult google ! ;)
